Obituary

Dr. Wacław Timoszyk, 83, of Boyertown, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

He was the beloved husband of Julita (Kozakiewicz) Timoszyk, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Born in Bereza Kartuska, Poland, Wacław was the son of the late Wacław and Zofia (Aleksandrowska) Timoszyk.

Wacław earned his Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Wrocław in Poland. He went on to build a distinguished career as a mathematician and professor at Norwich University in Vermont, where he dedicated many years to teaching before his retirement in 2017. Wacław had a lifelong love of travel, which took him throughout Europe, Russia, Nigeria, and the Brazilian Amazon. An entrepreneur as well as an academic, he also ran an export business specializing in electronics. He was passionate about physics, loved to read, had an insatiable sweet tooth, and enjoyed discussing history and debating politics.

Above all, Wacław cherished his family. In addition to his loving wife, Julita, he is survived by his daughter, Kasia Lobello and her husband, Michael, of Pottstown; his son, Wojciech (Butch) Timoszyk and his wife, Chessa, of Flower Mound, Texas; and his eight grandchildren, Virginia and Charles Knight; Audrey, Ella, Owen, and Katherine Timoszyk; and Alexander and Madeline Lobello. Wacław will be lovingly remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A private burial will be held in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wacław's memory may be made to The Parkinson's Foundation (https://www.parkinson.org/).

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Monaghan Funeral Home, Inc., (215) 679-6400.
