Lois (Quigley) Smietana, of Red Hill, passed away at St. Luke's Hospice in Bethlehem on August 21, 2020.  She was 78 years old.  Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William and Marie (Hatfield) Quigley.  She was also the former wife of the late Walter J. Smietana, who died in 2007.

Lois graduated from Lincoln High School in Philadelphia.  She and her husband owned and operated the Rheinland Inn in Marlborough Township.  She is survived by her children, Lois Hoch and her husband Stephen, of Hatfield, W. Scott Smietana and his wife Cecilia, of Hatfield, and Crista Smietana, of Newington, GA; and nine grandchildren, Jimmy, Stephen Jr., Josh, Becca, Devon, Cassie, Bryce, Patricia, and Scotty.
