IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeremy Patrick
Jaros
January 6, 1981 – December 8, 2023
Jeremy Patrick Jaros, a longtime North Wales resident, passed away on December 8, 2023. He was 42 years old. Born in Chestnut Hill, he was the beloved son of Mary Ann (Reilly) and A. James Jaros, Sr.
Jeremy loved many things throughout his life, and always did it with a golden smile. He treasured being at home, going for long car rides, and spending time with family. Christmas was precious to him and he asked for a new bike every year, and Santa never disappointed. He once was given a power wheels jeep from Santa and continued to enjoy it throughout his twenties, while multiple tires, batteries, and seats had to be replaced! He enjoyed McDonalds—could spot one from a distance and always asked for their french fries. Distracting him from an oncoming McDonald's was no easy task. He especially enjoyed riding one of his many bikes and would often be seen pedaling up and down Main Street in North Wales. One of his favorite things to do was to listen to others tell stories about himself. He loved going for walks, listening to Patsy Cline and taking out the trash. He went through phases in his life where certain items brought him joy—including keys, license plates, and the neighbor's mail. Blessed with incredible neighbors, they always showed immense kindness despite sometimes challenging circumstances. Recently, riding a surrey at his group home brought him out of a difficult demeanor. The incessant squeezing of the surrey's horn brought back his smile. He attended North Penn School District until the age of 14, then received services from Devereux Foundation. There were many people who cared for him throughout his life and the family is grateful to those individuals- he had his own army. Jeremy had many nicknames: Raymond, Snookums, our Buddy, Uncle Jer, Pal. Beyond all, he loved his parents and his weekly visits home on Sundays.
In addition to his parents, Jeremy will be dearly missed by his sister, Mary Ann Gilligan (Scott) of Riegelsville; his two brothers, James Jaros, Jr. (AnnMarie Zollo) of Allentown and Jonathan Jaros (Megan H.) of Avon, New York; and his nieces and nephews, Reilly and Della Gilligan, Alexis Zollo, and Delaney, Charlotte, Reed, Harrison, Cecilia, and Margaret Jaros.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jeremy's viewing on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at St. Rose of Lima Church, 428 S. Main Street, North Wales, PA 19454. A funeral Mass will follow at 12:00pm. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
