Irving James Fisher, 85, of New Hanover Township passed away at the Pennsburg Manor on June 27, 2024 after a prolonged illness. He was the beloved husband of Nancy M. (Morris) Fisher for 41 years.
Irving was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to the late Robert R. and Jessie (Thompson) Fisher. While in high school he entered basic training and proudly served in the United States Air Force. Later he began his lifelong career in engineering and founded Everedy Automation, which designed machinery for making pies. He was also a ham radio operator, artist, and pilot, who instilled his love of flying in many. Irving also enjoyed traveling with his wife, wood carving, and creating illustrations for magazines. He truly could do anything he aspired to do.
In addition to his wife, Irving is survived by his three children, Robert Fisher (Sarah) of Nebraska, Sharon Joy Warner (George) of Doylestown; and James Irving Fisher (Tammy) of Minneola, Florida; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two nieces, Carissa Fisher (Gary) and Jessie Ortaga (Orlando); and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his three siblings, Emily Joy, Robert Fisher, and Joy Kia.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irving's name are requested to Fisher Hill Baptist Church c/o John Donnahee, 491 Trafalgar Rd, Dundas, NB Canada E1G 3K4.
