Edward A. Atz, of Green Lane, passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2021.  He was 73 years old.  Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frederick W. and Frances (Smith) Atz.  He was also the beloved husband of Denise (Torrence) Atz for over 40 years.

Ed graduated from Roxborough High School and worked as a mail carrier until his retirement.  He enjoyed archery, yoga, traveling, riding his motorcycle, and classic rock.  Anyone who knew him had no doubt been entertained by his wild yet true stories of his youth and goofy sense of humor. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Zachary and Andrew; two daughters, Molly and Rebecca; and one brother, Allen Atz.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's name are requested to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention .
