Obituary

Andrew Simon Beresford, 65, of Gilbertsville, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026.

Born in Accrington, United Kingdom, Andrew was the son of the late Anthony Grant and Pauline Anne (Clarke) Beresford.

Andrew was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He worked in the information technology field for 30 years, beginning his career at US Filters and spending the majority of his professional life with Siemens as an IT Director. He had a lifelong passion for computers and technology and always enjoyed keeping up with the latest advancements.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoyed target shooting and riding his motorcycle. He was known for his generous and selfless nature. He gave freely to others and never expected recognition, thanks, or anything in return. His kindness and willingness to help others were among the qualities that made him so deeply loved.

Above all else, Andrew cherished his family. He took great pride and joy in his son and grandchildren, and his grandson, Cayde, was truly the joy of his life. The love he had for his family was at the heart of who he was and will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Andrew is survived by his son, Michael Beresford (Amber Matys) of Gilbertsville; grandson, Cayde Andrew Beresford; granddaughter, Morgan Lewis; brother, David Beresford (Deborah) of Barto; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
