Obituary

Alan J. Kostishion of Richland Township passed away at home on July 12, 2024.  He was 74 years old. Born in Palmerton, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John A. and Jean Elizabeth (Freeman) Kostishion.

Alan was drafted during the Vietnam War and proudly served in the United States Navy for four years.  He later earned his associate's degree from Bucks County Community College and worked as a printer for Moore Business Forms & Systems Division, now known as RR Donnelley, in Quakertown for 33 years.

Alan had a passion for military history, especially the Civil War and World War II.  He loved reading about military history, watching war movies, and attending antique gun shows.  He was also an avid military modeler and HO train collector.

He will be remembered as a loving uncle who loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Alan is survived by his three brothers, Gary D. Kostishion (the late Patricia) of Pennsburg, John R. Kostishion (Marjorie) of Hilltown, and Mark C. Kostishion (Sharon) of Schwenksville; one sister, Joanne M. Clemmer (Keith) of Sellersville; ten nieces and nephews, Joslyn Pesta (Darrell), Ryan Kostishion (Tara), Brittany Hansrote (Nick), Janelle Lear (Dave), Jennifer Heusser (Mark), Jill DeLeon (Anton), David Kostishion (Lynn), Denise Binder (Todd), Greg Clemmer, and Steve Clemmer; and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services with military honors will be private for the family in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.  In lieu of flowers donations in Alan's name are requested to the American Diabetes Association: www.diabetes.org .
